About the Owner
Hi, I’m Jenna Ketch, founder of Active Adventures, a locally owned movement-based program serving youth ages 18 months through adults.
My passion for movement and creative play began early. From working at a country club and umpiring youth softball to earning degrees in Physical Education and Business Administration, I discovered a love for recreation, program development, and creating meaningful experiences through movement.
After college, I spent more than a decade in recreation and nonprofit programming, working in outdoor education, summer camps, aquatics, team building, and youth programming. I eventually focused on early childhood education, where I recognized a gap in traditional programming: children needed more opportunities to learn through active play.
That realization inspired Active Adventures. I created a movement-based curriculum that combines play and learning to develop coordination, balance, spatial awareness, cognitive skills, social interaction, confidence, and independence.
Today, I’m excited to bring that same passion for movement and play to children, youth, and adults through engaging, inclusive programs.
